Context

In a first instance, Smart Energy Lab provided relevant inputs to support the 5-year business plan exercise of a reference utility company.
In a second instance, the client wanted to make sure its strategy was kept updated according to what is happening in the world.
The goal was also to anticipate any changes in the sector that may be game changers and proactively identify triggers for new strategic actions.

Challenge

SEL was comissioned to:

  • Perform a business surveillance sweep exercise to provide data, insights and recommendations:
  • Along 3 vectors (Technology, Business models/ Competitive Landscape and Regulation)
  • Focusing on 6 client domains for B2C with higher attention to EMS and Flexibility
